Course overview
An advanced one-day course on impacted wisdom teeth and coronectomy with Yusuf Gadiwalla. It connects imaging and nerve-risk assessment with surgical planning and complication management. Delegates practise on patient-specific 3D-printed models following case demonstrations. Dentists should already be comfortable with routine surgical extractions; the Extraction Course is the suggested preparation if that foundation is missing.
Who is it for?
Dentists already competent in routine surgical extractions. LUX8 recommends completing its Extraction Course first if this foundation is needed.
What will you learn?
- Case selection and radiographic/CBCT assessment
- Inferior alveolar nerve risk
- Different impaction patterns and coronectomy
- Flaps, tooth sectioning, bone removal and suturing
- Complication management and referral
Practical experience
Operate on patient-specific 3D-printed models derived from CBCT scans. Yusuf Gadiwalla first demonstrates each case using its imaging, photographs and/or surgical video; delegates then repeat the procedure on the corresponding model. Covers surgical removal and coronectomy.
